The London Chapter Begins.

Things are really starting to come together. My life is lovely. I moved to London last Saturday to start the next exciting part of my life and already I know that it was the right decision. It was a really difficult decision to make and I was anxious about how expensive the city is, finding a job and leaving my loved ones back in the North. However, after being here for just under a week the buzz of the city and how naturally comfortable I feel here has reignited my reasons for coming in the first place.

I had a job interview the day after I moved and I found out 3 days after moving that I got the job. I'm now going to be a stylist at All Saints in Spitalfields which I am super excited about! Everything is finally unpacked and the flat is almost finished. I love it and it is definitely a place I immediately called home. (look out for a room post in the future!) I've met up with some old friends who I haven't seen for ages and wondered around the city in the sunshine. Walking along the southbank in the evening light made me realise how happy I am and how I've finally moved to a place where I completely belong.

To celebrate my new job I went on a wander down Oxford Street and raided the & Other Stories sale. I found this amazing white shirt which was unbelievably cheap in the sale. It is made of thin linen-y sort of material which makes it perfect for summer and the oversized shape keeps it comfortable whilst also looking super cool. I also found this gorgeous orange bag which will now be my go to summer choice. The bright colour spices up any outfit and the pattern is simple enough to not be overwhelming. Being real leather and 70% off I couldn't resist buying it and I'm so happy that I did. It makes any outfit fresh.

My sister gave me these Levi's jeans because they no longer fit her. They are the perfect classic colour and I love that they are straight cut rather than skinny because it makes them comfier and more roomy in the hot sun. She also gave me these lovely brogues which are my favourite shoes ever. She got them from Call it Spring on Oxford Street and they are the comfiest shoes I've ever worn. I love the turn ups and shoes look and I think this looks perfect with the simplicity of the shirt.

In London it is key to be comfortable yet fashionable and this outfit does just that. It is sophisticated and still casual. I love it! I hope you do too. I can't wait to see how the next couple of weeks turn out. I'm starting my new job, I have my sister's graduation and hopefully I will start uncovering the secrets of London which will make me fall in love with the city even more! If you have any places I should visit please let me know. I would love to know all your favourite hideouts too!
